Note: although Florida does have a small native population of flamingos, the one pictured here is from the Flamingo Gardens botanical garden/wildlife sanctuary. As well as the night heron.

Favorite wildlife encounter of 2024- for sure gators in the Everglades. Jeff and I went to FL for his birthday and did an airboat ride where we saw 3 alligators and lots of other wildlife 🐊 happy new year!!

It’s always been a dream of mine to see the northern lights and I still can’t believe they were visible in Corvallis last night. At first we couldn’t see them but the camera picked it up. By 2300 we could see them with the naked eye. Such a cool and beautiful experience. #northernlights

My favorite wildlife encounter from 2023 was in March when I saw this moose. Couldn’t miss it from a distance, it was huge. Looking forward to more adventures in 2024 and hoping for snow! Happy New Years! 🎉
